Logitech refreshs its G-series gaming line with the new Gaming Mouse G500. Logitech Gaming Mouse G500 is the successor to the Logitech G5 laser mouse. It features a new gaming-grade laser offering a maximum speed of 165 inches per second and a mximum acceleration of 30 Gs; and On-the-fly adjustable dpi from 200 to 5700 and a dual-mode scroll wheel with hyper-fast scrolling.

It's a case of evolution not revolution for Logitech's G9x – which takes the already successful gaming mouse, cranks it up to 5000dpi and more or less leaves everything else the same. Of course this is a risk for the respected peripherals maker – but in truth the plaudits that accompanied the G9 when it made its appearance in 2007 showed that gamers were taken with the device.

It seems as soon as one manufacturer retaliates in the video card wars, the bar gets raised even further. This year has been a case of going for the top spot. Each time ATI or Nvidia come to the table with the latest and greatest, there is another card right over the horizon. We've travelled far enough, so that the horizon is right in front of us. The 4870x2 served as a wake up call and now Nvidia has an answer for that problem with the GTX 295
